Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn (born in America) is an American actress. She is most famous for her part as Skyler White on The AMC drama series Breaking Bad for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in the Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. Her other appearances comprise Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Anna Gunn began acting as an elementary school student as a child in Sante Fe New Mexico. The family moved to Ohio in the United States, where she nurtured her love of the stage. Theatre studies was through Northwestern University. A semester was taken in the British American Drama Academy. Anna was employed in the Chicago theatre for a number of years before trying out for film and TV role. Anna was cast as Arden in the TV show Down the Shore in the 29-episode series Down the Shore. Anna continued to appear in movies and TV series such as Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and others up to the late the 1990's. Anna was later placed in The Practice as Jean Ward. Martha Bullock, a character which she played for two years during Deadwood's 2nd season. She was cast as Skyler in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in 2008. Sully was the Deadwood film, and other movies included her. Gunn was also on the stage to play in the David Schwimmer directed production Sex With Strangers. Gunn acted as Numbered Days, a four part audio podcast in 2022. Breaking Bad often revolves around Walter White and Skyler's relationship. The strains and eventual demise mirror the last few seasons of Walter White.
