Anoushka Shankar is an American-born British sitar player and music artist. She was awarded the British House of Commons' Shield in the year of her youngest and also the first female recipient. Apart from receiving nine Grammy nominations She was also the very first Indian-origin musician to perform during the ceremony live. Anoushka Sitar Shankar is the Indian young sitar star. She is the child of Ravi Shankar and a former student. Born in London in 1982. She was a young girl who travelled back and forth from London as well as New Delhi.
